The Process

Fill out the inquiry form and I’ll be in touch soon with availability, next steps, and answers to any questions you have. We’ll make sure the session you’re interested in is the perfect fit for your family and your season.

01. Connect & Say Hello

Once you're ready, I'll send over the booking form and retainer invoice to officially reserve your session date. From there, you can breathe easy knowing everything’s taken care of.

02. Get it on the calendar

 You’ll receive a welcome guide filled with all the good stuff—what to wear, how to prep, and what to expect—so you feel calm and ready. I’ll also help you choose a location (and yes, I’m always happy to peek at outfit options if you need a second opinion!).

03. Plan with confidence

On session day, there’s nothing you need to do but love on your people. I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly I’ll let the connection unfold while I capture the magic of your family that’s already there.

04. Show up and soak it in

Within three weeks, you’ll receive your full gallery of hand-edited images ready to download, print, and relive all over again. You’ll also have access to heirloom albums, framed artwork, and print options to turn those moments into something truly lasting.

05. memories delivered

Whether your toddler’s on the move or your newborn needs to eat halfway through, it’s all welcome here. I approach every session with flexibility, patience, and zero pressure—because real life makes for the most meaningful images. You don’t need to bring perfection, just yourselves.

Little ones don’t need to be perfect, just present

Newborn sessions are offered in the comfort of your home or in my softly lit studio here in Madison. Family sessions are typically held outdoors during golden hour (hello, dreamy light!) or at a location meaningful to your crew.

Where do sessions take place?

Most families book 2–3 months out, especially for newborn sessions. If you're expecting, reach out early so I can reserve your due date and adjust the session timing as needed once baby arrives.

How far in advance should I book?

Honestly? That’s totally normal, and totally fine. I’m a mama too, and I come prepared with patience, flexibility, and zero expectations. Some of the most heartfelt images come from the in-between moments you didn’t plan for.

What if my toddler doesn’t cooperate?

Yes! After booking, you’ll receive a styling guide with easy outfit tips, color suggestions, and inspiration to help you feel confident and coordinated (without overthinking it).

Do you help with outfit planning?

I offer limited seasonal mini sessions throughout the year, typically in the fall or spring. Be sure to join my email list to be the first to know when they’re announced.

Do you ever offer mini sessions?

Yes, absolutely. Your photos deserve more than just a spot on your phone—they’re meant to be held, seen, and passed down. I offer a curated selection of heirloom-quality albums, framed prints, and gallery wall options so you can turn your images into lasting keepsakes. You'll find all the details on the Investment page, or feel free to ask during your session planning!
